The Sprint Burndown allows you to follow the work remaining to be done during a sprint, in relation to the sprint objective.
The x axis represents the days of the sprint. The y axis corresponds to the unit of measurement used (story point, tickets, business value, ...).
The graph is composed of 3 curves:
The purple curve represents the total number of elements (story point, ticket, ...) present in the Sprint Backlog;
The light blue curve corresponds to the total number of elements remaining to be completed by the team;
The dark blue curve represents the ideal number of elements remaining to be completed.
The team can, each day, see the work remaining to be done, in relation to the commitment to be achieved and the ideal curve. When the remaining to achieve is less than the ideal curve, the team is behind in relation to its commitment. When the remainder to be done is less than the ideal curve, then the team is in the process of achieving its commitment.
You can track progress across all completed or ongoing sprints.
